Grupo IMO Foundation has launched a campaign aimed at strengthening social and family bonds with cancer patients and survivors. For most relatives this is a deep emotional shock similar to what patients feel after being diagnosed.
No relative is prepared to receive such news. The family will need some time to come to terms with the situation and get ready to support their beloved one. Hence, this year Grupo IMO has put in a great deal of effort to improve the emotional state of breast cancer patients' relatives, partners, children, friends and even colleagues. This strengthens support to patients and their beloved ones.
Under the slogan: "closer together, we win", the campaign has been present in the streets of the leading Spanish cities such as Madrid, Seville and Alcázar de San Juan thanks to the cooperation of the three cities' transportation bodies. In October, the image of a patient healed of cancer highlighted the importance of strengthening social and family bonds of breast cancer patients and healed patients.
Besides, the Foundation has published a Guide for Patients and their relatives putting forward certain guidelines aimed at facing the disease from an emotional angle, also providing useful tips to overcome it.
