Who we are

Grupo IMO-Madrid’s Institute of Oncology is an integrated network of healthcare centres specialized in cancer treatment using the latest irradiation techniques. Such undertaking is possible thanks to the collaboration of 200 qualified healthcare professionals and a cutting-edge technological platform representing approximately 10% of Spain’s installed linear accelerators (LINACs).

Grupo IMO was created in 1991, when a group of healthcare professionals decided to install the first LINAC in a private hospital in Madrid (Sanatorio San Francisco de Asís) and to implement the latest irradiation techniques. Over the last twenty years Grupo IMO has built up a network of 12 international and national treatment centres, which are now an outstanding reference for patients, healthcare professionals, public institutions and private entities. About 5,000 patients receive treatment and care in such centres every year.
